In honor of Patch 1.4.5 and in lieu of a Weekend Warfront, we launched a bonus weekend:
- 50% bonus to all Renown gained

- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be sent to the wrong location when attempting to engage in the Hunter’s Vale Dungeon in Tier 1.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players with the relic to be summoned, queue, or the like. Players should not be able to move with the relic via these methods now.
- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

The German fansite and forum Waaagh.de had the chance to ask James Casey, Producer of Warhammer Online, several detailed questions about various aspects of the game.
During the second Q&A with Werit you
talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

The German fansite and forum Waaagh.de had the chance to ask James Casey, Producer of Warhammer Online, several detailed questions about various aspects of the game.
During the second Q&A with Werit you
talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

As of today, the servers Gorfang and Karak-Azgal are being set to 'retired' status. Both servers will be offline for a 5 hour maintenance window from 11am EST (5pm CET) on. After the maintenance, players will no longer be able to log in to those servers. Any remaining characters on this server can then be transferred via the Mythic Account Center.

In honor of Patch 1.4.5 and in lieu of a Weekend Warfront, we launched a bonus weekend:
- 50% bonus to all Renown gained
- 50% bonus to all Experience gained
Bonuses are now active on all live servers and will continue until Monday, February 6th.
Thanks for your continued support and enjoy the bonuses!We used the maintenance to apply the following correctives:
- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be sent to the wrong location when attempting to engage in the Hunter’s Vale Dungeon in Tier 1.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players with the relic to be summoned, queue, or the like. Players should not be able to move with the relic via these methods now.
- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

allowing people to enter after the contested state. Players will now only be able to queue if the
city is in a contested state and not during the rebuilding or transition states.
- Fixed an issue where relics didn't broadcast when they moved across zones.
Due to an EA-wide maintenance that will affect our game and others, we will be bringing down our account center at 11:45pm EST (4:45am GMT). During the maintenance you will not be able to change subscription, redeem game codes or transfer characters.

What plans does Warhammer have for the future? Are there events and plans for the community to look forward to in 2012? We are actively finishing up our work on patch 1.4.5 which will mark the return of the all-new revamped Grovod Caverns with a smidge of Skaven thrown in. (Okay, a lot of Skaven goodness...) The bigger news though is that we are introducing a new way to engage the enemy in Tier 4 with the introduction of Realm Relics and the re-introduction of Fortresses. After that, we have patches laid out for the next year that will introduce additional cool stuff like the teased Tier 7 appearance armor, the return of the Ironclad, and a few things I can't preview quite yet. Plus, don't forget that we continue to run weekend warfronts, bonus weekends, and a plethora of Live Events during the year. In fact, soon, plan to join in the Keg's End celebration! The German fansite and forum Waaagh.de had the chance to ask James Casey, Producer of Warhammer Online, several detailed questions about various aspects of the game.
During the second Q&A with Werit you
talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

As of today, the servers Gorfang and Karak-Azgal are being set to 'retired' status. Both servers will be offline for a 5 hour maintenance window from 11am EST (5pm CET) on. After the maintenance, players will no longer be able to log in to those servers. Any remaining characters on this server can then be transferred via the Mythic Account Center.

What plans does Warhammer have for the future? Are there events and plans for the community to look forward to in 2012? We are actively finishing up our work on patch 1.4.5 which will mark the return of the all-new revamped Grovod Caverns with a smidge of Skaven thrown in. (Okay, a lot of Skaven goodness...) The bigger news though is that we are introducing a new way to engage the enemy in Tier 4 with the introduction of Realm Relics and the re-introduction of Fortresses. After that, we have patches laid out for the next year that will introduce additional cool stuff like the teased Tier 7 appearance armor, the return of the Ironclad, and a few things I can't preview quite yet. Plus, don't forget that we continue to run weekend warfronts, bonus weekends, and a plethora of Live Events during the year. In fact, soon, plan to join in the Keg's End celebration! In honor of Patch 1.4.5 and in lieu of a Weekend Warfront, we launched a bonus weekend:
- 50% bonus to all Renown gained
- 50% bonus to all Experience gained
Bonuses are now active on all live servers and will continue until Monday, February 6th.
Thanks for your continued support and enjoy the bonuses!We used the maintenance to apply the following correctives:
- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be sent to the wrong location when attempting to engage in the Hunter’s Vale Dungeon in Tier 1.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players with the relic to be summoned, queue, or the like. Players should not be able to move with the relic via these methods now.
- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

allowing people to enter after the contested state. Players will now only be able to queue if the
city is in a contested state and not during the rebuilding or transition states.

Update 3:40pm EDT: The fix is now live.
We are about to apply the following hot fix to all servers. Please be aware that the location of the foreman is about to change in T3 and T4 - this might effect ongoing sieges. We'll update the Herald when the update is live.
Realm vs. Realm
In response to player concerns over the way Keep Foreman generate New Outer Doors, the following changes have been made:
- Foreman in T3 and T4 have been moved to the outer wall, into the room directly above the outer door *
- The time it takes for Foreman to process a New Door order has been increased to 90 seconds
- Messaging has been added that will go out to everyone in the area alerting them to:
- when a new door has been ordered
- an update at every 30 sec mark of the process
- a notification when the Foreman's ordering has been halted
- a notification when the Foreman restarts the ordering process from the beginning
- if the Foreman was killed while processing an order
- if the Foreman successfully completes processing the order
- The Foreman will now enter his cower state when the keep door is attacked by a ram **
* Having the Foreman in this location will force defenders to be more mobile throughout the keep area, rather than turtle in the inner keep. It will also make the Foreman far more exposed, and accessible to attackers, so actively defending him will become more important.
** While an order for a new door cannot be made while there is a ram active, an order already in progress does not get canceled if a ram is placed at the inner door after the fact. This line item is intended to make it far more difficult to complete the process without stopping it completely.

During the second Q&A with Werit you
talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

After the maintenance, players will no longer be able to log in to those servers. Any remaining characters on this server can then be transferred via the Mythic Account Center.

What plans does Warhammer have for the future? Are there events and plans for the community to look forward to in 2012? We are actively finishing up our work on patch 1.4.5 which will mark the return of the all-new revamped Grovod Caverns with a smidge of Skaven thrown in. (Okay, a lot of Skaven goodness...) The bigger news though is that we are introducing a new way to engage the enemy in Tier 4 with the introduction of Realm Relics and the re-introduction of Fortresses. After that, we have patches laid out for the next year that will introduce additional cool stuff like the teased Tier 7 appearance armor, the return of the Ironclad, and a few things I can't preview quite yet. Plus, don't forget that we continue to run weekend warfronts, bonus weekends, and a plethora of Live Events during the year. In fact, soon, plan to join in the Keg's End celebration! The Wild Hunt ended but you can still claim your rewards for one week. We have applied the following hot fixes to all servers:

- Regenerating Firework Launcher will now play the effect when used.

We are about to apply the following hot fix to all servers. Please be aware that the location of the foreman is about to change in T3 and T4 - this might effect ongoing sieges. We'll update the Herald when the update is live.

In response to player concerns over the way Keep Foreman generate New Outer Doors, the following changes have been made:
- Foreman in T3 and T4 have been moved to the outer wall, into the room directly above the outer door *
- The time it takes for Foreman to process a New Door order has been increased to 90 seconds
- Messaging has been added that will go out to everyone in the area alerting them to:
- when a new door has been ordered
- an update at every 30 sec mark of the process
- a notification when the Foreman's ordering has been halted
- a notification when the Foreman restarts the ordering process from the beginning
- if the Foreman was killed while processing an order
- if the Foreman successfully completes processing the order
- The Foreman will now enter his cower state when the keep door is attacked by a ram **
* Having the Foreman in this location will force defenders to be more mobile throughout the keep area, rather than turtle in the inner keep. It will also make the Foreman far more exposed, and accessible to attackers, so actively defending him will become more important.
** While an order for a new door cannot be made while there is a ram active, an order already in progress does not get canceled if a ram is placed at the inner door after the fact. This line item is intended to make it far more difficult to complete the process without stopping it completely. The sounds of celebration and battle can be heard throughout the Old World. Fireworks, cheers and the roar of battle rings in the ears of combatants from both Realms…but there are murmurs across the land of ancient powers being called forth and resources being gathered for the frontlines closest to the capital cities..

- 50% bonus to all Renown gained
- 50% bonus to all Experience gained
Bonuses are now active on all live servers and will continue until Monday, February 6th.

- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be sent to the wrong location when attempting to engage in the Hunter’s Vale Dungeon in Tier 1.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players with the relic to be summoned, queue, or the like. Players should not be able to move with the relic via these methods now.
- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

As of today, the servers Gorfang and Karak-Azgal are being set to 'retired' status. Both servers will be offline for a 5 hour maintenance window from 11am EST (5pm CET) on. The bigger news though is that we are introducing a new way to engage the enemy in Tier 4 with the introduction of Realm Relics and the re-introduction of Fortresses. After that, we have patches laid out for the next year that will introduce additional cool stuff like the teased Tier 7 appearance armor, the return of the Ironclad, and a few things I can't preview quite yet. In response to player concerns over the way Keep Foreman generate New Outer Doors, the following changes have been made:
- Foreman in T3 and T4 have been moved to the outer wall, into the room directly above the outer door *
- The time it takes for Foreman to process a New Door order has been increased to 90 seconds
- Messaging has been added that will go out to everyone in the area alerting them to:
- when a new door has been ordered
- an update at every 30 sec mark of the process
- a notification when the Foreman's ordering has been halted
- a notification when the Foreman restarts the ordering process from the beginning
- if the Foreman was killed while processing an order
- if the Foreman successfully completes processing the order
- The Foreman will now enter his cower state when the keep door is attacked by a ram **
* Having the Foreman in this location will force defenders to be more mobile throughout the keep area, rather than turtle in the inner keep. It will also make the Foreman far more exposed, and accessible to attackers, so actively defending him will become more important.

The German fansite and forum Waaagh.de had the chance to ask James Casey, Producer of Warhammer Online, several detailed questions about various aspects of the game.
During the second Q&A with Werit you
talked about the new Grovod Caverns where you fight as a Skaven. Will we
see changes to the current “Play as a Monster” system, so that buffs
from pets and potions don’t get removed or return after exiting monster
stage?
In the return of Grovod
Caverns, the Play as Monster mechanic will operate similarly to existing
offerings. We’ve made strides to ensure that some buffs that cannot be
easily reapplied have exemptions, but the mechanics are the same as the
current Skaven implementation. In both cases, players can make the
choice to join the battle as Skaven (either by taking the form at a keep
or joining the scenario) knowing that it will having a draining effect
on them. We are looking at ways to expand this system in the future in a

As of today, the servers Gorfang and Karak-Azgal are being set to 'retired' status. Both servers will be offline for a 5 hour maintenance window from 11am EST (5pm CET) on. After the maintenance, players will no longer be able to log in to those servers. Any remaining characters on this server can then be transferred via the Mythic Account Center.

What plans does Warhammer have for the future? Are there events and plans for the community to look forward to in 2012? We are actively finishing up our work on patch 1.4.5 which will mark the return of the all-new revamped Grovod Caverns with a smidge of Skaven thrown in. (Okay, a lot of Skaven goodness...) The bigger news though is that we are introducing a new way to engage the enemy in Tier 4 with the introduction of Realm Relics and the re-introduction of Fortresses. After that, we have patches laid out for the next year that will introduce additional cool stuff like the teased Tier 7 appearance armor, the return of the Ironclad, and a few things I can't preview quite yet. Plus, don't forget that we continue to run weekend warfronts, bonus weekends, and a plethora of Live Events during the year. In fact, soon, plan to join in the Keg's End celebration! 'Bane of Peace' is now live. In honor of the German National Holiday it will continue until Tuesday morning, 10/04/2011. The God of Hunt retreats and the horn of Kurnous falls silent again.
The Wild Hunt ended but you can still claim your rewards for one week. We have applied the following hot fixes to all servers:
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where some deployable siege had incorrect carry timers.
- Regenerating Firework Launcher will now play the effect when used.
Update 3:40pm EDT: The fix is now live.
We are about to apply the following hot fix to all servers. Please be aware that the location of the foreman is about to change in T3 and T4 - this might effect ongoing sieges. We'll update the Herald when the update is live.
Realm vs. Realm
In response to player concerns over the way Keep Foreman generate New Outer Doors, the following changes have been made:
- Foreman in T3 and T4 have been moved to the outer wall, into the room directly above the outer door *
- The time it takes for Foreman to process a New Door order has been increased to 90 seconds
- Messaging has been added that will go out to everyone in the area alerting them to:
- when a new door has been ordered
- an update at every 30 sec mark of the process
- a notification when the Foreman's ordering has been halted
- a notification when the Foreman restarts the ordering process from the beginning
- if the Foreman was killed while processing an order
- if the Foreman successfully completes processing the order
- The Foreman will now enter his cower state when the keep door is attacked by a ram **
* Having the Foreman in this location will force defenders to be more mobile throughout the keep area, rather than turtle in the inner keep. It will also make the Foreman far more exposed, and accessible to attackers, so actively defending him will become more important.
** While an order for a new door cannot be made while there is a ram active, an order already in progress does not get canceled if a ram is placed at the inner door after the fact. This line item is intended to make it far more difficult to complete the process without stopping it completely. The sounds of celebration and battle can be heard throughout the Old World. Fireworks, cheers and the roar of battle rings in the ears of combatants from both Realms…but there are murmurs across the land of ancient powers being called forth and resources being gathered for the frontlines closest to the capital cities..

In honor of Patch 1.4.5 and in lieu of a Weekend Warfront, we launched a bonus weekend:
- 50% bonus to all Renown gained
- 50% bonus to all Experience gained
Bonuses are now active on all live servers and will continue until Monday, February 6th.
Thanks for your continued support and enjoy the bonuses!We used the maintenance to apply the following correctives:
- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be sent to the wrong location when attempting to engage in the Hunter’s Vale Dungeon in Tier 1.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players with the relic to be summoned, queue, or the like. Players should not be able to move with the relic via these methods now.
- Added missing messaging and localization files.
As part of the introduction of Fortresses, we introduced a mechanic to allow City Queuing via the scenario UI element. Unfortunately, this has led to some issues with the City invasion instances within the Live environment that were not discovered previously. Because of this, we need to remove this functionality, at least for the moment to ensure that players can queue and enjoy the City Instances properly.
This will mean players will need to enter the city via the doors to the city as they did previously.Greetings!

allowing people to enter after the contested state. Players will now only be able to queue if the
city is in a contested state and not during the rebuilding or transition states.
- Fixed an issue where relics didn't broadcast when they moved across zones.

Version 1.4.4 is now open for testing on the Public Test Server. To access the server simply run the testpatch.exe file in your main Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning directory.

To check the new keep defense system, we ask you to participate in two scheduled keep siege tests:
• Thursday, 09/08 at 7:00 pm EDT (Friday 1:00 am CEST) • Friday, 09/09 at 3:00 pm EDT (9:00 pm CEST)
Please note: For testing purposes all characters on PTS have been wiped and templates are currently not available. You can easily copy your live character to the test server by visiting your Mythic Account Center, login, and click on the Character Transfer Button above your Game Account profiles. Select 'character copy' and then fill in the information on the next page to choose the character you wish to copy.
